Self Catering, Dog Friendly, deep cleaned Holiday Cottages in the Cambrian Uplands, Mid-West Wales
Welcome to Welsh Hideaways! We are told that few self-catering holiday cottages offer such comfort, complete peace and a sense of retreat from our fast-paced world for those who love to escape to the heart of Wales. These dog friendly holiday cottages in mid-west Wales are set in the Ceredigion uplands on the edge of the Cambrian Mountains in a breathtakingly beautiful location adjacent to the glorious Hafod Forest. For those looking for adventure and self-catering holidays in Wales there are endless beautiful walks for children, adults and dogs alike. Within the cottages, hard surfaces are super-cleaned and sanitised and fabric coverings are steam cleaned where necessary (see in FAQs for details), as we follow the full recommendations to keep the risk of coronavirus minimised. For Coronavirus Wales updates follow this link and this link. It is important to ensure you are allowed to stay in Welsh Hideaways just now. The FAQs also outline other changes made and requested to keep you safe. A narrow gauge steam railway is nearby; swimming, dolphin spotting, Red Kite feeding and bird watching, mountain biking, fly fishing, horse riding and viewing historic mines are amongst the attractions local to the holiday cottages. Of course the fibre to property internet is unlimited for those who need it! Whilst our cottages are pet and dog friendly, owners are encouraged to read the relevant FAQs to ensure their dog’s holiday needs will be met too! #VisitWalesSafely
Enjoying your West Wales Holiday
For some, this low priced self-catering holiday is enhanced by the two dog friendly cottages having inter-communicating doors…you can have a lively cottage with games, DVDs and the like and a quiet cottage where you can be still and drink in the view. They are wonderful for two families wanting space for ten and yet having times apart from each other. Should you be looking for a place to party late then we would want you to book both cottages (with a discount) so that no-one else is disturbed. If your holiday is immanent, you can check out the WEATHER FORECAST.
The fantastic location of these self-catering cottages in west Wales means that you can enjoy the kind of holiday you want to – whether it is a break full of walking with the dogs or trekking; or simply recharging your batteries and taking a step back from it all. About the Cottages
Both holiday cottages come fully equipped with king size beds as well as comfy twin rooms – so after a long day of walking with the dogs and outdoor activities, you will be sure of a good night’s sleep. But before you turn in for the night, you can take full advantage of the wonderful views that mid-west Wales has to offer on the balcony terrace, while enjoying a home cooked dinner or glass of wine on a summer’s evening. The international dark sky park is nearby so star-gazing, Milky Way class, is an unforgettable experience (see here) and the cottages are ‘dark sky friendly’. One site is at The Arch, just close to Welsh Hideaways.
For those cold and dark nights, there are a range of options to keep you entertained as you enjoy the heat of the stove, including Smart TV, DVDs, audio system, surprisingly fast internet and a good selection of games. Whether it’s a romantic countryside retreat or a large family/group walking holiday in Wales – the cottages cater for everyone (even your dog!). In 2018, Penroc won the prestigious Customers’ Choice Award, thanks to great reviews. Enjoy #Real Mid-Wales.
