Penroc

What is it that makes Penroc so appealing?

Maybe it’s the sun streaming into the fully glazed extension where you can laze on the window seats and watch the birds.

Maybe it’s waking up in a king-size bed looking straight out the French windows to the hills beyond.

Perhaps it’s being able to sit out on the balcony being surrounded by nature.

Whatever it is, there is something about Penroc that makes everyone fall in love with it!

Penroc has a private gravel yard with a terrace and picnic table. It shares an internal sound-proof door with Ty Mari so the two cottage can be booked together (otherwise locked).

Cottage Description

This 200-year-old cottage was fully renovated and extended in 2015 to include a sun lounge and roof top terrace. The front door opens into a private gravel garden with a paved terrace and parking for two cars.

Stepping inside, you will find an open plan living area with a bright sun lounge at one end, kitchen and dining area in the centre and a cosy sofa area at the other end. To the left of the fireplace is an interconnecting internal door with Ty Mari.

An open staircase takes you to the first floor, where the two bedrooms and bathroom open onto a shared landing.

The front master bedroom has large French windows looking out over the valley and the twin room has a low window to the side and a rooflight. The bathroom has a bath with a shower attachment.

Excellent holiday cottage in a very picturesque part of Wales. We have stayed there 4 times now and always have a great holiday. The cottages have everything you might need and cater for dogs as well which is great for us. There are excellent dog walking routes at The Arch which is about a mile up the road. The mountain road through the Elan Valley is a must do drive and we always take this route to and from the cottages. Highly recommended and will be going back for another stay later in the year.

There really are not enough words to describe the beauty of the cottage or surrounding area. The peace and tranquillity was exactly what we needed and the only bad bit was that we had to come home. We will definitely be looking at returning next year. Justin was brilliant with his communication and, although we didn't need to, it was good to know that we had the contact details of local people if we had any problems.

A beautiful cottage in a stunning location. The cottage is very well appointed with everything we could have needed. It was warm and cosy and the fire in the lounge was a lovely addition. The cottage was immaculate when we arrived and the instructions and directions supplied were accurate and helpful. Communication with Justin the manager was excellent. The guides to the birdlife and local walks were great and the range of birds visiting the feeder outside the window was amazing.
